بنزين من الماء والهواء





توصلت شركة بريطانية إلى طريقة لإنتاج البنزين من الماء والهواء، مستخدمة تقنية مبتكرة، تأمل أن تسهم يوما في إنتاج وقود نظيف على نطاق واسع.

وأوضح مهندسون من شركة إير فيول سينسيسيس في تيسايد بشمال انجلترا، أنهم أنتجوا خمسة لترات من الوقود التخليقي، خلال ثلاثة أشهر، وتستند التقنية الجديدة على استخلاص ثاني أوكسيد الكربون من الهواء والهيدروجين من الماء، وجمعهما في مفاعل في ظل وجود مادة حفازة لصنع الميثانول الذي يتم تحويله بعد ذلك إلى بنزين.

ويقول الباحثون الذين ابتكروا التقنية الجديدة انه باستخدام الطاقة المتجددة في عملية الإنتاج، من الممكن تخليق وقود خال من الكربون، يمكن استخدامه بطريقة مماثلة للبنزين العادي.

وأفاد بيتر هاريسون الرئيس التنفيذي للشركة إنه فعلا أنظف لأنه تخليقي، وعبرت الشركة عن ثقتها في إمكانية استخدام التقنية الجديدة على نطاق واسع، في عملية في حجم مصفاة في المستقبل.
